The cops are protecting somebody (somebodies?) with their investigation of Alicia Patterson’s death. We’ll find out exactly who in the next episode!
In this edition, I decided to reveal the name of Pastor’s city for the first time: Pointe Blanc. It’s an allusion to the classic John Boorman film with a similar name, which itself was adapted from Richard Stark’s novel, “The Hunter.” I figured that Pastor operates out of a metropolitan area that’s roughly analogous to Oakland and San Francisco, the former being the setting for the Blaxploitation film, The Mack (1973), and the latter being the location of the aforementioned 1967 Lee Marvin thriller, Point Blank, about a driven man seeking retribution against a powerful, faceless criminal network. Pointe Blanc also has a more wealthier, sister city across the bay, which we’ll see more of shortly.

Great as always. Cover up… hmmm?
I’m trying to think if we’ve seen hints of who might be behind the cover up.
I have to be fair and say, “No.” Very soon (possibly as soon as the next installment), we’ll get to see and know the culprits before Pastor discovers who they are. However, to know them will be to LOATHE them, and you’ll be chomping at the bit for Pastor to get his hands on the guilty parties!
