David Carradine, star of "Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & II" and the television series "Kung Fu"
Kill Bill star, David Carradine was found dead today in a Bangkok hotel room , apparently by his own hand. Very sad.

I think proper etiquette is to at least wait until the body reaches room temperature.
Although I was never that big a fan of Carradine in Kung Fu, because I never bought him as Asian or even half-Asian, I thought he was absolutely sublime in Kill Bill: Vol. II. A viewer’s familiarity with Carradine in Kung Fu informed his performance, but it was his demeanor, control, and casual, understated lethality that was so fantastic. It was all the little things he did. Check out the scene where he prepares a sandwich for BeBe’s. Listening to Carradine spin the little tale of BeBe’s goldfish while he carefully, even tenderly, fixes the sandwich with that massive butcher knife, was absolutely hypnotic.

Well, looks like the early speculation of why Carradine was hanging in the closet of a Bangkok hotel may be true. Authorities say he was naked and had cords tied around his neck and genitals. For Pete’s sake, who keeps doing that kinky stuff at 72?
Carradine does!
As sordid as this may turn out to be, I think I’d feel better about him dying through some kink-fest gone wrong than by his own hand. Kind of a weird, Bangkok twist on the old answer to how you’d like to die — “In bed, at age 100, shot by a jealous husband.”
I can barely get my clothes to hang properly in my closet. What sort of over-engineered closets are they building where you can suspend a human being from one of those racks?

Perhaps that’s why the kinky sex act failed. The closet wasn’t sturdy. I’m sure they don’t build super spacious walk-ins in Bangkok.
Also, the Smoking Gun has records from one of his many divorces where the ex accused him of deviate sexual behavior that was potentially deadly.
Wow, I guess one night in Bangkok DOES make the tough guys tumble.
