THE THRILL-SEEKERS 24: Tell The Truth, Shame The Devil – Part 4

THE THRILL-SEEKERS 24: Tell The Truth, Shame The Devil – Part 4

I wanted Alicia to reach back into her Southern, church-upbringing and bring some fire to shame The Duke.  She’s the catalyst for the story, but she’s not a shrinking violet or a victim.  However, as I noted last week, I didn’t want her first spoken words in the strip to be words of anger.  Now is the time for it.

  1. Damn! She slapped the taste right out of his mouth. I love the sound effect “SWAK”. I really like how Alicia’s character is developing.

The Duke has clearly not joined Fight Swak in the Kitchen.

    The Pirate Musketeer-
Thanks. I wanted her to stand up for herself, and at least score some kind of Pyrrhic victory. Oddly enough, of all the characters, Pastor remains the most inscrutable to me, but that’s part of his function as an avenging ass-kicker.

    Doug G.-
The original sound effect was “SMACK,” but I didn’t want my man, Black Dynamite (in theaters on Oct. 16th), to come down on me like a ton of bricks for copyright violation. :)

I can’t wait to find out how this goes wrong.

I have to admit I stared at the spit flying out of Dukes mouth for about five minutes trying to see if there was a hidden word. I see a J and an N or Z.
