I’m sure you probably feel like Brad Pitt in Seven, thinking, “C’mon, what’s in the box?”
Hopefully, I’m not being too obtuse, but you might be able to guess what Pastor acquired from Rashid. Although we get to see Pastor call in another favor and put together the final part of his plan before taking out the rest of the Thrill-Seekers, this strip will also have greater significance in the next arc, The Black Fist.
As always, thank you for your indulgence, and stay tuned, friends.

this reminds me of the briefcase in pulp fiction…..i really liked the angle of the first panel. so i gotta go week before finding out what’s in that case..YOU WRONG MAN!!! lol.
The fist bump at the end was classic. Nice touch Jay.
Right on! **fist bumps the air**
Knucks!
Those first and last panels look great, man. And for the record look great in Safari on the iPhone once you blow ‘em up.
Where is this going?
And Pastor once again looks good in his clothes.
The suspense is killing me .. great pacing to the storyline though. Guessing is actually quite fun as well.
Tracy-
Thank you Ms. Brady. I got a little nervous last night, because I was wondering how far “dap” goes back? It translated better in a static image than the high-five, though.

Mr. Man-
We just might not find out next week. Mwah-ha-hah!

Summey-
I just imagined you getting stuck one of those freeze-frame shots they used to use at the end of TV shows in the ’70s after you fist-bumped the air.

Doug G.-
I gotta borrow an iPhone from someone. I liked the second panel the best, particularly the shadows that created the definition on Pastor’s shirt. #artnerd.

Guess Who-
Patience. I do have one more outfit change planned for Pastor as he makes his final move, and it will be quite different from anything he’s worn before.

AA-
Thanks! I was very pleased with the pacing early on, but recently I’ve been worried about it slipping a little. I’m glad it’s still working out OK for readers. I even had a completely differenct strip for Episode #47 written and pencilled, but it felt like unnecessary padding. In the interest of moving the story forward, I ditched it. Maybe I’ll include it at the end of the collected edition.

I’m guessing there’s Unobtanium in there.
Or a hot cup of coffee.
(I still find the “I’ll have my coffee black” line hilarious.)
i like rashid. here’s to seeing more of him!
Danny-
I’m glad Rashid made an impact with you in his brief appearance, because he’ll have a significant presence in the upcoming storyline.

I’m with “Mr Man” at the top of the page: “We happy?”
“Oh we’re happy, alright.”
The fist bump/”Right On” combo, just made me laugh in a, “These Boyz has a plan.” kinda way.
Classic!
(I’m always reading if not always commenting, Jay. Very Entertaining!!!)
Because you obsess over such things, I’d point out that the hand turning on the light is at a weird angle/is improbably small.
AWM-
I don’t think the angle is weird, but I realized it was improbably small when I drew it. I let it go anyway, because I categorically DO NOT obsess about such things.

I’ll fix it later.
