I am so very proud of you. This is a wonderful weekly strip. Congrats on making it a year. I look forward to the compilation.
He’s Flipper and Jaws rolled into one and served with wasabi. I love that we see the caranage without seeing Pastor. It reinforces his stealthiness. He is almost ninja like in his take down and invasion of the ship.
That shot with the silhouetted afro is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in a comic, very nice touch. Great work as usual!
See? If this had been a horror movie, then at least it would have been dude’s own fault for not knowing that torching up a number = certain death. I was nervous the Seekers might just go down in one big bang — nice to see the job’s getting the personal touch.
Gak.
It just wouldn’t be the 70s without some weed. The story is now complete – sex, drugs AND violence.
It’s kind of odd and funny to read this right after I read 4th Letter today. “We gotta kill every last rat-bastard one of them,” and sure enough, here comes Pastor… heh.
Keep up the great work, and I’m looking forward to a little comeuppance theatre!
Congrats on year one, look forward to many more.
FINALLY read your comic! (Been busy.) I can’t imagine how it could be any better! You’re a master!
I gave up on mine–just not an artist. I’ve written the first chapter of a novelization of it…we’ll see how that goes.
Congrats on the first year!
Scott-
I appreciate that and thanks for the kind words. I understand how important it is to find the proper medium for your ideas. I don’t think I would have had the courage or patience to try WORLD OF HURT in a traditional comic or graphic novel format. So I think re-working “The Dismantlers” as a novel is a great idea if that inspires you and plays to your strengths best. Good luck!
