At long last, the epilogue. Only two (maybe three) strips left in The Thrill-Seekers, and I decide to introduce one more character. How’s that for confident storytelling?

Mrs. Patterson calls him “Mr. Hurt.” Love it! I like the view in the second panel. The angles and background — even the intercom chiming in — are set nicely. There’s going to be another episode, right?
Joe-
Thanks! I did a lot of fiddling with the dialogue in the 11th hour, so I’m glad it worked.
Also, absolutely there’s more. I have 2-3 strips left in The Thrill-Seekers. Good question.

I think it’s telling that our next character has called him Isaiah, not Pastor. Does this indicate there is going to be a different level to this relationship?
Oh crap….is that a handbag?
He’s just met his match
Only if it’s Aunt Esther.
Pastor, not being a fish-eyed fool and all, might be able to charm even her, though.
Feels like a nice cold beer at the end of a day of working outdoors in a heatwave.
I am really digging the contrast in Pastor’s character. He’s a compassionate soul with blood on his hands. Feared by the bad, loved by the good…
I bet I know whose handbag that is…
