I’m glad I could get Vonetta Foster more involved in this storyline.
This past weekend, I went to Wizard World Atlanta and had a really great time. I’ll fill you in more later in the week with a full account accompanied by a few pictures that I took.

P.S. If you look back at Episode 11, the keys actually are on the desk.

Oh, this is too cool!! What’s he gonna do with the Lincoln!?
I love the glass flying around, showing that the room is still under sporadic fire! Nice story telling technique, there. Looks like Vonetta’s packing heat too, is she in for the ride!?
What is it, “Relationships born out of extreme situations never work out”? Something like that, but that was Sandra Bullock’s line and I’d like to think I could make any relationship work with Sandra…am I thinking this or typing it in…oh dear….
Love that Vonetta looks like she knows exactly what to do under fire … as well as what to do with that piece. Looking forward to the ice-breaking! (Also, great seeing you guys on Saturday).
MAS-
I had planned dialogue to detail the extent of Vonetta’s involvement. but I couldn’t make it fit. Nonetheless, I hope I demonstrate that she’s extremely capable in her own right. Vonetta and Pastor definitely have a history that developed in some rather “extreme situations,” but I’m keeping the extent of it under wraps for now. The fact that she’s the only one who calls him “Isaiah” implies a lot of comfort and familiarity between them.

Doug G.-
It was great hanging out with you, too. I really appreciated it, although I’m sorry we couldn’t get together Saturday night. (Also, you’re the only one who knows a key piece of Vonetta’s history to explain her fightin’ prowess, but keep it under your hat!)

Totally understand you being wiped out after a long day on the hustle.
Vonetta’s past is safe with me, sir. I just told a friend named Julian, who has an awesome mountain bunker in Sweden — can’t imagine any problems there.
MAS,
I bagged Snadra Bullock’s groceries back when she had a place at Tybee Island. She’s even hotter in person
Jay,
Terrific strip can’t wait to see what Pastor has planned with the car. I am expecting a Con write up by Fri.
@Summey
Man, that hurts…I’m sooooo jealous
This is off the chain – have not seen a comic this down since Luke Cage fought Cottonmouth back in the day.
Fantastic work as always Potts. And yet your excellence never feels redundant. I love the last panel of Pastor and Vonetta dodging bullets. Even better was Pastor announcing his plans to visit the new neighbors. Way to built anticipation! Oh and BTW, the comicgeekspeak interview was a joy to listen to. You certainly represent the genre with dignity…
