I told you I’d work in a jump. While there are some similarities between comics and film, one advantage that comics will always have over film is the lack of budgetary restrictions. To paraphrase Jesse Jackson, in comics, if you can conceive it, you can achieve it. In a traditional Blaxploitation movie, this car jump would probably bust the budget or be done using camera cuts and stock footage. Here, I can just fit it into the normal flow of the strip as easily as I could Vonetta and Pastor talking.
This strip also features an Easter Egg for long-time readers. Way back in Episode 11 and Episode 32 of The Thrill-Seekers, characters made comments about the Belmont fortune helping to build the city of Point Blanc. Here we see Pastor’s eventful arrival in one of those communities.

another great strip. I read the whole thing in one run and this was the first one that I had to wait for. it’s a long wait ! love that we can count on timely updates as well. i vote for a daily strip! you dont need a life outside of comics, do you?! keep up the good work!
