Loving it!! Man, I don’t know how you pulled off those very abstract figures in the background on paneld 1, but some how it works. It’s like we are focuse soley on Pastor and Von, and everyone else is sort of unfocused and blurred. I doubt I could pull that off so well. Kudos!!!
Jay, for the next book correct the “your” in the second panel. Should be “you’re.” Oh, and I like the Navy reference. Vonetta was a naval officer, huh? Back in the 70s, that means she was in admin or a nurse…or maybe was part of a top secret all-chick commando unit you never hear about!

She’s making those, “I’ve only got one week until I retire to my family and academically gifted children” type speeches!!
I read the first panel too quickly and was left wondering, “Who’s this new character, Frank Von Shit?”

Your work is getting more and more stylized. Which isn’t a bad thing. That look from Pastor in the second panel is like nothing we’ve seen before, and the lines in his face bring to mind Art Adams for me, very clean, none of the darkness and shadow we’ve been seeing in past weeks.
Of course, that likely has as much to do with him having a (relatively) bucolic moment with Vonetta instead of dodging sniper-fire or huddling in the lair of an underworld figure.
